Position: Store Associate / Cashier
Location: Borderless European Market (BEM), Austin, TX
Type: Part-time to Full-time | Weekends required
 

Position Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Store Associate/Cashier to join our team! This role involves engaging with customers, operating the register, keeping the store clean and organized, and helping with daily tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide exceptional service with a positive attitude

• Accurately operate the cash register and handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments

• Assist customers with questions about products and store layout

• Restock shelves and maintain a clean, organized sales floor

• Monitor product freshness and report any issues to management

• Follow opening and closing procedures

• Help receive deliveries and manage inventory when needed

• Uphold store cleanliness and safety standards, including regular cleaning of floors, fridges, and checkout area

• Support coworkers and management as needed to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements:

• Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

• Dependable, punctual, and a team player

• Comfortable working weekends and flexible hours

• Interest in European food/products is a plus!

• Spoken English & work authorization
